Last week I had the privilege of being a keynote speaker at the 2023 YOU Powered Symposium in Miami. I’d been asked to pull the curtains back more than I’ve ever done before to explain how big health insurance companies really work, what their priorities are, and how throughout my 20-year career in the industry, I was always focused on one thing: making shareholders richer.
Hi Wendell, thank you for this presentation. I was a staff member in the CIOs office within an international IT company in the 2000s when they were giving the employees “more control “ and they could become “true adults” while the execs dismantled their retirement systems and moved that cash into a revenue stream which gave the execs huge stock options that year. So your presentation hit home. I have some ideas on changing the fundamental mission of corporations and LLCs to be more than short term shareholder focused. Would you have some time to discuss via email? I’m not sure how to do a private discussion on this platform. Thanks, Susan
Thank you Wendell for your conversion and your strong voice on these issues. Fingers crossed that one day more will become aware of the insurance companies’ scams and demand reform!
Hello Wendell, As a new resident of Knoxville, TN, I am glad to see that you have a University of Tennessee degree. I've followed your efforts in recent years and appreciate your candor about our health insurance industry. Now, how can we make more people realize there has to be a better solution to this nation's expensive, inconsistent system??
